Bans

Bans prevent specific players from making purchases on your store. Common reasons to ban someone include chargebacks, fraud, or abuse.

Ban Types

You can ban by username, UUID, IP address, or any combination. Each has tradeoffs:

  • Username is the easiest to set up, but the player can change their Minecraft name to bypass it.
  • UUID persists across name changes. This is the recommended identifier for most bans.
  • IP address blocks all purchases from that IP, but can affect other players on shared networks.

IP bans affect everyone on the same network, including households, schools, internet cafes, and VPN exit nodes. Use them sparingly, as they may block legitimate customers who happen to share an IP address.

Creating a Ban

Go to Dashboard > Bans and click Create Ban. Enter at least one identifier (username, UUID, or IP address), an optional reason (visible to staff only), and an optional expiry date. Leave the expiry empty for a permanent ban.

Editing and Removing Bans

Click any ban in the list to update its reason, identifiers, or expiry date. To remove a ban entirely, click Unban or Delete. The player can make purchases again immediately.

Expired bans are kept for audit purposes and can be reactivated by setting a new expiry date.

Auto-Ban on Chargeback

FluxStore can automatically ban players who initiate chargebacks. Enable this in Dashboard > Settings > Checkout under Auto-ban on chargeback. When triggered, a permanent ban is created matching the player’s username, UUID, and IP address. See Refunds & Chargebacks for details.

Ban Enforcement

Bans are checked automatically at checkout. When a customer attempts to purchase, FluxStore checks their username, UUID, and IP address against all active bans. If any match is found, the checkout is blocked. No additional configuration is needed.
